Practical training days will encompass
-digital implant planning and surgical guide construction
-Analogue and digital single tooth implant restorations
-Analogue and digital partial arch fixed restorations
-Chairside and lab stages of full arch removable implant prosthodontics
-Chairside and lab stages of analogue and digital fixed full arch prosthodontics
Learning and development will be encouraged via didactic lectures with a focus on literature and case studies. We will have opportunity for delegates to present their own cases to demonstrate planning (digital and analogue) skills and understanding if the prosthodontic needs of each case.
Peer support will be developed as the course progresses and delegates will be expected to appraise Implant prosthodontic literature relevant to each topic being covered.
Dentistry is a practical profession. No successful course would prepare delegates properly without theory and practical skills.
There will be multiple face to face training days to allow the skill developments in Implant prosthodontics, and delegates will be expected to demonstrate competence before achieving certificate of completion. The skills learned will cover analogue AND digital restorations including anterior and posterior single units, fixed bridges and full arch including fixed AND removable options.
Yes, this is designed to fit around the busy Dental practitioner, with remote didactic lectures via videolink, and face to face practical days to develop the required skills to progress in this world.
